Florida Out of State Fingerprint Scan enables non-Florida residents to meet Florida’s electronic fingerprinting requirements for professional licensing and background checks by getting fingerprints taken locally on standard FBI cards and mailing them to 1st Choice for electronic submission to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). This service works for various Florida licensing boards including Department of Health (DOH), Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR), and other state agencies requiring fingerprint-based background checks. Using advanced FBI-approved scanning technology, 1st Choice processes and transmits your fingerprints to FDLE the same day they’re received and emails you a receipt with your Transaction Control Number (TCN) for your licensing application.
Please Note: We are only as good as the quality of your fingerprint cards that are sent to us. We routinely receive smudges where there should be fingerprints which will result in a rejection. If rejected you will need to submit a new set of fingerprints and a $65 re submission fee.
