The State of Illinois has issued additional categories that require fingerprinting for the Cannabis industry. Fingerprinting is no longer required for Patients and Caregivers – but there are added fingerprinting requirements for professionals.
According to the Illinois Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act (P.A. 101-0027) state and federal criminal history, background checks will be required for dispensaries, cultivation, craft cultivation, infusion, and transportation of cannabis. Below are listed the required Originating IDs (ORI) with the associated purpose codes.
This change is effective immediately for early approval licensees and on January 1, 2020, for all other licensees.
